for how eye contact doesn’t always click
for how I didn’t speak up because I was scared
and for how I spoke up and made things awkward
I’m sorry for the length of my sentences
and the depth of my inferences
because I read into things so much
and not everybody is a novel.
But here’s the thing.
I will never apologize for challenging you by being different.
I will never apologize for inconveniencing you by being complicated.
And I will never apologize for having more dimensions than you can comprehend.
